under my computer -> properties. The speed of my processor is recorded as 1.98 GHz.

This morning it was 1.97 GHz. Used system restore and it when back to 1.98 GHz. Is this normal?

    My processor is T7200. 2Ghz

seems normal to me, as long as you arent getting a bit discrepancy your processor is running fine. if you start maxing out at 1.6 or something, then i would start to worry

My G1S reports in at 2.19. There's always a slight discrepancy between the official value and the measured value.

The cpu freq reported by System Properties will vary slightly as it is shifting up from idle when Windows measures it. Depending on which specific millisecond the measurement is taken, then reported number will be slightly different.

The reason this happens is that the cpu chip downclocks when it is idle, and then spikes up when needed or used i.e. when Windows queries it when opening the System Properties window.

Everything is fine - no need to worry whatsoever.
