I'm thinking about ordering and Asus and i need your opinions. I'm going to use it for gaming, music, and schoolwork. Mostly Gaming. Anyways, which would you guys prefer? The g1's or g2's? I like the 17' but it seems like a hassle to carry it around...

    Thanks in advance,

I think if you carry it around, get the G1S...the G2S is big and heavy for moving around regularly.

And not like the G1S isn't powerful either, its got lots of power to game.

My price range is anything from $1,000-$2,000+. What would be for better gameplay and graphics? the 15.4 or 17?

It's the same computer, just in two sizes. Can't be a simpler decision than that.

well also know that a 17 inch will stress the card more as the screen is bigger so the graphics card has to fill up more space. With the 15.4 inch, there's less space and the graphics card fills up less space therefore better performance.

Cant speak about performance, but I had np carrying my 17 incher around with me in a backpack. The question is how much do you plan on using this for school?

I ended up getting a 15.4 as well for school work because the 17 was too big, but it was a weaker machine, nothing graphics intensive.

The other issue is the number of books you carry. Living near campus I was able to only have to carry books for 1-2 classes at a time, easily with enough room for either in my backpack.

For gaming, I cant play on small monitors, but thats a personal preference. Hope this helps.

I say if you have the money, go for the G1S-B1
