I just upgraded my Vista 64-bit to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I am using G51vx-x1a laptop, and I can't use any of my function keys to adjust volume, brightness, etc. It just does not work after the upgrade. I think all my drivers are updated, I am not sure what is the problem, do I actually need ASUS software to get it running?

Yes, you need the Asus software and drivers. You need to go to the Asus website and download the Vista x64 drivers/software for your laptop.

Namely the ATK drivers, ATK Hotkey app, and also the ATK OSD application.

What you have to do is to copy all the drivers in the cd to a folder in your desktop, then you have to click on each Application icon and set to execute it with Win Vista SP2 compatibility and then to check the box at the bottom which allow you to run the application as an admin.

If you want to install ALL drivers do this and then run the autoexec that you copy in your desktop and select which ones you want to install.
