    Hello everyone...

So just getting around to doing the warranty on my NB and have a question I hope one can help with.

    The 3rd year warranty thing.

It says to send in UPC, serial number, POP and warranty application form.

Now when it says warranty application form are they talking about the 3rd year warranty paper or the registration card to register the product?

Just wondering because they both have a diffrent address and didnt know if I send them seperate or together to the address on the 3yr paper.

Hope someone can give a def true answer,

    Thx!

    Bump**

    Anyone?

Do I mail both in or just the printed paper? If both do I do together or to their diffrent address or do I do the registration online and than mail in the paper one?

Man they make this hard! lol

Yes I have that, but do I just send that in with everything it asks or do I also need to send in the registration card the laptop came with? Not sure if this does both or I need to do both.

1.Register your laptop online (no need to send anything). This will activate your 1 year accidental warranty.

    2. Fill out the application form and send it in with everything it asks (UPC with serial number bar code, check number and your invoice. You do not need to send your warranty card with this.

I did what David posted, did it online then mail off the paperwork for 3 years. Make copies of the UPC code and that other code they want you to mail before you mail it.

Just wanted to share what I found.

I called Asus and regardless of the 3 year, they say if you do not mail in the warranty card you get no Accidental Damage warranty.

They said doing it online does nothing, still requires mailed in card.

They also said that other address on the mail in card is wrong, to use the new address on the Corporate Way road.... She also said to mail the warranty card and 3 yr warranty paper seperate.

So I guess everyone who did not mail in the card didnt get Accidental Damage warranty.

hmmm ... my 2c. which is really only 1.6c US, as i'm Canadian.

    1. i registered on-line at ca.asus.com. i also registered for the 1-year accidental there.

    2. after registration, i was sent an email with a code. i was told to print that out and send it in with a copy of my invoice.

    3. i also filled out the warranty registration card that came with the NB and sent that in with an invoice copy. (yeah, even though i registered on-line ...)

    4. and then i printed out the 3rd year north american warranty pdf. filled that in, and then sent in another copy of my invoice plus the the UPC and check code sticker from the big box.

so: three envelopes, because i didn't want to confuse things. two went to Corporate Way, one went to Fremont. but i guess all the mail is going to Corporate Way now.
