    What is up with this? I've never owned a laptop, so I was surprised to see that some manufacturers did this. Is Asus the only one? What's the logic behind it? It is turning me off of several possible purchases. :(

    What's wrong having the fans on the right side? What notebook do you have?

    Fans on the right side = air blowing on right-handed mouse users.

    I didn't say they all had it on the right - some of their models have it. I was wondering why this was so. The fan placement on the F8 is what prompted me to ask.

    i would think that the fans would not push out that much air to really bother people, or the fans suck in air
