    Hey folks,
So first off, I LOVE this laptop...it's been phenomenal so far, and having the ability to play stuff at just a little lower settings than my desktop has been awesome (played Crysis with most settings on Medium).
However, I've come to notice a couple problems...one is a minor one.. the fingerprint reader sometimes just won't work...no matter how slow, how fast, how much light it has to scan, or anything, it just won't let me log in...makes me glad I didn't select that as the only option for logging in.

The second is a bit more serious as I'm not sure why it's happened, but It appears my screen has a bit of a fault or something. when I'm looking at just a blank white page i can see it more, but there seems to be a small dark spot close to the centre of the screen, and when i look at the screen from the side, i can see that there's little blotches that look lighter than the rest of the LCD... it's hard to explain, but basically it almost looks like some sorta liquid 'leak' or something...the blotches look like something leaked from the inside. It's really only noticeable to a minor extent, but I'm concerned that this may end up turning into a bigger issue, and that the small spot may turn into a bigger one in the future... if i can find where i have the pictures, I'll post links to them, but has anyone heard of this happening? I'm definitely going to contact ASUS about this though.

    Cheers!

Fingerprint reader -- did you try reinstalling the drivers, or perhaps updating them if there is a newer version? It might be hardware though, but it's less likely.

Screen, yes, I think contacting ASUS and arranging for a screen exchange is the best idea. Let's hope they accept it, given that the fault is not really that obvious.
