Ok, I'm looking at picking up one of these two from newegg. I'm primarily going to use it for school and a little light gaming, EQ2, CoD4 and that's about it. Is one or the other a better build/sturdier? Any insights on these laptops from owners would be great.

Well they look to me like the same exact computer, but the F8 is 14.1" and the F3 is 15.4". And the F3 has a card reader.

If you're going to carry it around a lot a 14" computer makes a difference. Doesn't seem like it should but it does. If you're just going to park it get the 15 incher.

    They're both 1280x800 so I think it's a toss-up.

What I get indirectly by reading posts is that the F8 is better-built than the typical ASUS budgets. So perhaps that's an extra + for it.

I think that smaller notebook will be better for you. I haeve F3SA - 3 kg + other parts of computer are a bit heavy to carry if you use a car there should me no problem but I still thinking that smaller asus solution is better to mobile work.
