I am thinking of buying this laptop but want to know if it will support a total or maximum of 4GB, 2x 2GB modules. I know 2GB are expensive and I know windows 32 bit cant support the full 4GB but windows 64 bit can. I just need to know if the BIOS and motherboard will support the 2GB modules.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

According to the Asus website, the F3jp only supports 2GB max.
So no, you can't go to 4GB. -

The 945 series chipset supports upto 4 GB RAM, according to intel. I believe a bios update can easily fix the 2 GB limit. But whether such a BIOS actually exists, I don't know.

yup, intel states 945P will support 4gigs. But windows may not see all of it..maybe 3gigs at best

For addressing 4 gigs, a 64 bit OS is required...
F3jp 4gb
