The F3jm is probrably an ENSEMBLE unit, whereas the Z96j is a barebone.

The F series will be an ensemble and I'm not sure if this is one that US will get or not, but Canada probably would. The Z series almost replaces the L series of years past in a lot of ways, but unfortunately they've got all the power in the world, but boring as everything else out on the market in terms of design.

The A9 platform pictures have been out since January I think..... good looking chassis and honestly the first A series that has a little extra in terms of design. I believe I mentioned this series a while back when I was probably complaining about the genericness off the entire A series over the years..... Not bad design wise, but it's a crappy basic system which really doesn't need the Asus name behind it....... It's most likely going to be the first genuine attempt at a sub $1,000 notebook that Asus has put out using a new chassis. They tried it with the A3 about six months ago, but that failed in the states..... a new attempt with a new model may work, but that means bringing in the most basic of users who would be below the people that say "Asus?"... "oh, you mean Acer, right?" ...... light internet, email machine at most.

Geez, those A9's really don't look too appetizing. Celeron? 15" XGA, but still 7.2 lbs? 4200rpm hard drive? Eeek...

As Joseph(Or is it Danny?) mentioned, they are lower end models, which I'm pretty sure will end up in places like The Source and stores like that here.
