    Hi all,

I have been looking for some time now for a nice portable powerfull laptop. It seems with the sandy bridge refreshes, nothing appeals fully to me except the Asus U41sv. It's not available in Canada, however I found it here
    Asus U41SV (i5-2410M, W7HP) Notebook Computer Malaysia

I was wondering if anyone knew how much I would end up paying roughly in duty fees, brokerage, etc.

Also the sender said they mark their packages as "unsolicited gifts" if that helps.

    Thanks a ton

Duties and brokerage fees will vary greatly from place to place and I believe they have different categories for items that are being shipped. The best thing to do to get an estimate would be to either contact the courier or your local customs agent.

it depends how it is declared. typically canada customs will charge you the local tax of applicable and gst. it may vary from 8-14% depending on your province

GST dropped from 7% to 6% a 3 years ago and down to 5% 1.5 years ago.
