I was looking for a program that allows me to shut down the USB ports when i don't need them, or the Infrared, IEEE and so on. Sadly i didn't find something for ASUS notebooks, or maybe i just didn't know where to look. I saw that you can do such things in Vista, but what if you run XP? Then it's clear you need a third party app.

So, does anybody know if such an app exists for ASUS notebooks?

    Thanks!

I knew Device Manager had that option, but i remember the lot of them beying grayed-out... I'll have to give it a try.

So i guess ASUS doesn't directly have something that can do this?

Is there an app (not made by ASUS) that can do this?
