A few days after updating my graphics driver for my G1s, I tried connecting my laptop to a HDTV via HDMI and couldn't get my computer to see the connection (I've never had a problem before). I pressed fn-f8 a couple times to see if that would get the connection recognized with no luck, but for some reason my screen re-sized to the lowest resolution and suddenly my colors are very saturated. Of course I changed back to LCD setting, re sized my resolution but I can't figure out what happened with my colors. I played with ASUS splendid to see if something had changed there but nothing was and my colors are still extremely bright.
I had updated to the 177.98 drivers before this happened, could that be the problem?
And does anyone know what is going on with my display? I can't figure out what was changed and so I don't know how to fix it.
Any advice for getting my HDMI connection working again?
    Thanks

Vista: Right Click Desktop>Personalize>Display Settings>Drop down list or right of window. It will probably say 16-bit or 256 colors, select 32-bit.

XP: Right Click Desktop>Properties>Settings Tab>Drop down box and select 32-bit Colors.

That should fix the problem i think you have. I would say go back to the older drivers and see if everything will work again, then we can determine if its the driver causing the probelem.

The colors issue must be something else, it never left 32bit. I assumed it was a setting in the splendid utility but couldn't find a problem.
I guess I will try rolling back the driver to see what happens.

Maybe better to remove the driver, cleanup with drivercleanerpro, and install the old version.
