    D550CA wireless failure.

    Strange one here. The onboard wireless thinks it's turned off by hardware.

    When I install a USB wireless, it STILL thinks it's disabled.

    It only happens randomly and I can't figure out why.

    There are no obvious switches on this laptop and I'm out of ideas.

    What about any of the Fn keys, its Fn +F2 on mine.

    If that does not work you can try and reinstall the asus software that controls the fn commands.

    Update. it won't work with a normal start up but WILL work if brought out of hibernation.

    Function keys are marked for wireless and do not work.
