Hi guys, couple of questions regarding the Asus A8 series laptops:
I took out the keyboard to clean out dust. In the disassembly, there are 4 latches that you must push in on the top of the keyboard in order for it to slide out. How do the latches come back into place after positioning the keyboard back into place?
Also, my hinge is getting to be a bit loose, how does one remove the hinge covers? I have seen someone saying that sliding your fingernail underneath is a good method, but mine are practically glued on or something.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello,

    1. You just push the keyboard down and the latches will pop up above the keyboard plate.

    2. I remember a thread documenting the procedure to tighten the A8 hinges, with pictures. Try searching for it.

I also have a (A8J) disassembly manual, that might help you. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.
