    Good evening,

i'm interested in buying an U-series asus laptop, not sure of which one yet, btw they all have 13.3" or 14" 1366x768 screens. My question is: is it possible to change the screen with a higher resolution, possibly anti-glare one? Does this operation voids the warranty? Where can i buy it? Is it difficult? And so on :D any information will be extremely appreciated!

    Thank you so much!

I see you decided to edit hoping someone will post here :) I suggest you not even think to buy it. Why do I write this? Because you said any information is extremely appreciated :) Seriously. You will not have warranty for that. Also Kingston HyperX are somewhat overclocked memory and it can not be as reliable as usual Kingston. Also why do you want to buy it??? Do you have I7 2-nd gen processor? If not I do not see any reason to do that. If I know right it will work on 9 timings on 1333 MHz. Look here to see reliability of HyperX memory Newegg.com - Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model KHX1600C9S3K2/4GX

mmmh, i changed the subject of this thread from "Infos about changing laptop's screen" to "Changing laptop's screen" just because i thought that if everyone writes "infos about something" it would just be annoying, nothing more. and i can't understand the whole RAM stuff you wrote, sorry :| my opinion is that an HD+ screen wouldnt be a bad idea, especially for a 14" model.

If I have already posted here I should help you :)
At first if you change 1 screen on another one which has different amount of CCFL lamps (not led screens) you should find LCD appropriate converter. If you change from lower resolution to FULL HD resolution you probably will need another LCD wire. If you want to find out a LCD part numbers you should find official owner's thread or lounge forum on notebookreview.com using google: set a search on this site and type model number or series of laptop + such words like owner's thread or official etc. And post such there, it is higher chances that someone has already asked that
PS I believe you were laughing a lot about my mistake because I did :)

I use screencountry to figure out if ASUS ever offered it, or a similar model, with a higher-res screen. That way I know it's 100% possible to upgrade - otherwise, you can't be sure unless you actually try
