Ok guys, new here to the community and I have a few questions about my laptop.

Picked it up as a gaming computer from creigslist and surprisingly its been really reliable, even after looking up several hundred reviews. Even before my stock video card went, I had lots of over heating problems. Now, I got a new video card for my baby, and I had to ask a buddy of mine to help out, because the wouldn't work for me.He wound up having to jerry rig the thing in there, and get a driver crack for the thing.

ANYRATE, my main reason for posting here is I need some help modding this thing

    I need:

New power source, 120v (link please, cant find one)

What fans to use as replacements for the stock ones(Whats a good model to get)

How to access the fan utility and have them run higher at lower temps(until I get the new fans)

Easy heat sync mods(Im still new at this)

And for looks, an idea on modding LEDs into the fans/under the keyboard and out of the vents. Or a link to find more keyboards that will fit this thing.

Please and Thank you, All I need is to be pointed in the right direction.

You have some very general questions there. Before I answer I would like to ask whether you have read the C90S modders thread and the 9600M GT upgrade thread. Most of your questions are answered at length in those 2 threads alone and at very great length at that as this machine is the most heavily modded laptop out there. Btw were you looking to get a new 120W powersupply or asking if it is possible to upgrade to a larger one? As far as the fans are concerned the best and really only model to upgrade to are the Delta AFB0412SHB 11,000 RPM fans. Currently your laptop uses the AFB0412VHB 9,500 RPM fans. I have 4 of the faster model lying about that I was going to use in an upgrade myself but no longer need them so I could probably sell them for what I spent on em. However I recommend Wiring the current fans to run full speed as it will be tricky work swapping out the fans.

Here are a few key threads to get you started and there are alot more :D Also welcome to NBR :p

Thanks buddy, thats exactly what I needed. I figured there were threads that already answered my questions, I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Oh, and I NEED a 120v power supply for this 9600M GT card. I refust to game because Im not going to blow this card like the last one.

Jeez, laptops make me feel like a Technologically Impaired Duck. Desktop rules need not apply :O
