I just reformated from 7 to Vista 64. I installed SP2 beta and got absolutely no problem with my camera drivers. I'm using the stock one on Asus' CD.

I installed SP2 from a clean install and only installed the drivers after SP2 was installed though.

    I'm happy too :)

Strangely enough, I installed SP2 and for grins just ran the camera without reinstalling the drivers. No more BSOD...in other words, something in Vista64 didn't like the drivers.

Does it happen under SP0 too? I've never used Vista SP0 to be honest. I've stayed with RC2 until it expired, then used XP then got back to Vista once SP1 beta was out.

no idea, I used x86, because x64 took to much space back when I dual booted. I finally made the switch on my notebook a couple of months ago. x86 the drivers worked fine and I kept XP around just in case, now I'm a happy clam with x64. Been using x64 on my desktop since before summer when I build my new desktop (after the econ rebate check).

Long and the short, web cam drivers haven't worked on x64 since I installed it, but it really hadn't bothered me that much since there was no point around that time, now its the holidays and I need the webcam.

Ok. . It probably is a conflict between SP1 and the drivers. It's weird though.

Well at least SP2 was some kind of a solution.
