I sort of wish I'd researched this N61QJ-A1 puter before I dropped $1100. I get random BSODs - today twice. This has happened since day one - I've had it now for just over a month. I sent a tech question to ASUS and they closed the issue with no response. I sent it again today. I tried debugging myself and come up with a probably cause of "ntkrnlmp.exe" - couldn't get much help on Google. I've updated BIOS, and drivers - no luck and memory checks out okay. My keyboard also was very flexible on the left side - I did sent it in on an RMA and it is much better now as they did add padding. Jeez - two problems in one month - I'm not looking forward to the future with this computer. I might go back to my old HP NW8000 with XP which was excellent - just thought I'd upgrade. Not sure I made a good call as this computer may become a paperweight. :(

Damn...where do you live, and have you tried calling them? I've heard that Asus support is particularly bad in certain areas of the world, but I live in the US and I've personally had pretty good experiences calling and talking to a support person on the phone -vs- sending a tech question via the web. They can't ignore your question on the phone, now can they?
