Well, the good news is that It still functions flawlessly.

The bad news is that its perminantly on, so I cant use the laptop speakers. Which isnt a monumental loss, but it's kind of annoying. I've dealt with this problem for about 5 months, so I've gotten used to it.

My question is: Is there some kind of way to disable the port using software, so I can turn it on and off in order to again have use of my laptop speakers when I want to? Or am I just smokin' something there?

    Thanks!

With that aside, I still love my F3jm! We have been through many linux distros together. :)

Is there a reason you are not sending it for warranty?

I don't think there is a way to turn off the audio jack because it detects an audio plug. Perhaps grabbing a USB sound card and external speakers is a worthy investment.

Its just not big enough of a problem for me to send it in... I guess I could. I just dont want to reinstall everything again. I dunno.
