    Hey everyone,

what do you w3v owners suggest for the most reliable and compatible dvdr's for the matsushita drive? I've been using memorex which usually results in 1/2 discs going into the trash. Is there anything more reliable that will allow me to waste less money on these discs?? Thanks a bunch

Verbatims are usually good as well no matter where they are made, but TYs are the best, both CDs and DVDs. You can uses DVD Identifier to find out who makes the discs. Memorex's quality as you've noticed is all over the place.

+1 for Taiyo Yuden media, this stuff is the best money can buy, although you do pay a premium for it. Ideal for archiving and long term data storage. Just beware that Taiyo Yuden is also one of the most counterfeited discs out there, so ensure you're buying from a reputable vendor.

For general use, I prefer Mitsubishi/Verbatim (look for the MCC (Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation) media identifier code) and TDK... Sonys are also good but their quality (on some media) can be a little patchy.
