    Will be this notebook ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Notebooks- ASUS K53TA with AMD® Fusion APU A4-3300M Processor, 4GB ram and AMD Radeon® HD 6650M with 1GB DDR3 VRAM Built-in A4-3300M be capable of working with AutoCad? I am starting a building engineering university and i have a chance to buy this laptop for a nice price....

    Capable, probably. Worthwhile for using that software, probably not. A refurbished Latitude E6520 from the Dell Outlet with an Intel Core i5 CPU and NVIDIA NVS 4200 GPU would be a far better choice. They're about $800-900 normally, but Dell frequently runs 20% off coupons, so that will bring the price down quite a bit. Not to mention the fact that the Latitude will be built better, have a much better quality screen, and have better warranty/support than the Asus. Dell Outlet machines carry the same warranty as new products, and you can upgrade them to have next business day on-site service as well as US-based phone support (if you live there).

    The big reason to look at the Dell workstation class machine is that you can get a higher res display. Running CAD on 1366x768 is not a great idea.
