On my laptop i have 1 piece of ram (ddr2 667mhz cl5 2gb) (you can have 2 sticks in the laptop aswell)

And today i bought 2 pieces of ram 1gb each ( ddr2 667mhz cl4!) Kingston Hyper X but my laptop doesent want to work with them. I have tried 20 times to boot but it doesent want to start but sometimes it does start but then it only shows 1 gb. And that happens after i have tried to boot 20 times.

Is it because the new ram sticks has cl4?

I doubt it's because of that. More likely one of the sticks; or one of the slots in your computer (the one that wasn't used), is bad.

However, I don't understand why replace a 2GB stick with 2 1GB sticks? There is no real gain here (dual channel in notebooks has insignificant effects if that's what you were after).

    I suggest trying 2+1GB instead.
