    I think if you experience overheating problems then you can RMA the notebook. Then they will apply the thermal compound again.
    But I don't think they do any thermal upgrades.

    If you're referring to thermal paste upgrades, then Asus does not offer them. However some Asus resellers do offer them for a small fee.

    Yes I'm referring to this. My n61jq runs hotter under load than the others owning the same machine. I'm thinking of thermal upgrade to lower the temps.

    However, I bought this notebook in Saudi Arabia. I don't know if the reseller does thermal upgrade.

    You can easily upgrade the thermal paste yourself, however by doing so, you'll have to break the warranty seal which will void your manufacture warranty. If you're careful enough, you can actually remove the sticker seal without breaking it (I've done it many times). You just have to be slow and careful.

    How I wish to do that! haha I'm not a hardware guy, it will be better for me not to mess with that. hehe But I desperate to bring the max temps of my machine down.

    I haven't. Now looking for a cooler like zalman. Unfortunately, it's hard to search online for a store here in philippines selling it. Still searching though.
