    Attention Guys & Gals,

There are still some stock available of heavily rebated models due to the cpu price drop last month. In case you've forgotten, there are $200 rebates on the W5f / V6j / A7j / W2j and there is a copy of the rebate linked below. These rebates are good only for invoices market on or before July 9th which is not this Sunday, but next.

Also, the refresh models of the A6jc and W3j have been in for over a week now and after all backorders were filled, there is some remaining stock.

Some of the W7j's arrived the other day and more are coming in on Friday. We will be closed Monday and Tuesday and anticipate shipping out advanced orders from 2-3 weeks ago out on starting on Wednesday (every advanced order customer will be notified by email of their exact shipping date). We have enough W7's to fill all of the backorders and have a couple left over for stock. Any one with questions on this particular model can drop me an email and I'll be glad to answer them... It's certainly my next favorite system and it's one you're going to see a lot more of as we're going to be doing some funky projects with a couple of them......... and as most of you all know by now asus finally confirmed the price the other day of $1,499 and backed that with a written statement.... finally, the confirmation everyone needed.

Finally, as someone mentioned in an earlier post - there is news about the Z62j...... along with that, there is finally movement on the Z35f as well, and even some other new models...... Asus is going to be closed for inventory for most of next week and when they return, there will be some real news, in terms of shipping dates on a lot of new built on models as well as some future ensembles... Asus just needs to get organized.

Thanks a lot for the info Justin. Looking forward to seeing what else ASUS is up to. You also have me intrigued as to what "funky projects" you are up to with the W7J!! :)

YAY Z35f! Good to see that they're putting an integrated graphics 13.3" notebook out finally. An ultraportable really shouldn't have a discrete graphics card... it's a bit like towing a boat with a mini cooper.

Will the Z35f get better battery life than the w7j? 10-15% better? Or less.

Yea, at first I was looking at the z35f for my 13.3 WXGA fix but it was delayed so I turned my attention the w7j. Hopefully the z35f will be avaliable before August :)

prefer the W7J over the Z35f for my needs... but that is just me, of course. :)

Speaking of the W7J,... any battery tests run yet that can give us a read on battery life (with a 6cell) under full load? and under near-idle (easy) load?

and what projects?! do tell do tell! :p

Four days left to get $200 off the W5f / A7j / V6j / W2jb........ Every times there's a rebate, there's always someone who orders one a day after the rebates are over and cries the blues...... I don't want to say I didn't make people aware of it. Rebates run out at 11:59pm this Sunday evening (July 9th).

Take it to another thread....... I've answered this question many times over...... There's a new shipment of W2's coming in 2-3 weeks and we'll see what happens.
