I filled out the rebate form on asus.4myrebate.com and it gave me only one option to claim the rebate - American express prepaid reward card. However when I went through the FAQ section, it states that it would be eligible to receive a check......

I've contacted them few days ago and haven't gotten any reply yet. They said it will take approximately two business days to reply back...

Is there anyone here who knows about this?

The key word is may - in this case, it isn't an option.

That is strange as I filled mine out 2 weeks ago and was given the option of $100 cash which would take like 8+ weeks, or the $91 gift card (which would be processed sooner, but with $9 service charge).

    Which model is yours?
Mine is G73SW-A1. They only have one option, which is American Express reward card.
I wish there's an additional option for the check.

I have the G53SW-XN1 that I purchased through Newegg for $892, with $100 rebate. It is possible that they have a different promotion for your G73SW.

Different models, different retailers, different promotions. This happens all the time.

Never mind. Now I have a question: How to cut the UPC label from my box?
    It's hardly removable.
Should I just claim my UPC label through reseller?

I just cut mine out today using a box cutter. I saw 2 barcodes on the bottom, and cut out the one that had the numbers on it.

I also checked my rebate again. Apparently, all rebates are now the Amex card. The 2 choices I had are either take a $9 penalty and get the card sooner (within a couple weeks), or wait like 2 months and get the $100 Amex prepaid card.

You will have to physically cut it from the box using a box cutter or a pair of scissors. It isn't something that is removable while leaving the box intact.
