    Hi people. Hi have a Asus r1e tablet and it got a great problem . mouse goes in the left corner of monitor and clicks randomly.. i have tried to put the brightness low , many people resolve the issue doing that , but it ain't works..seems that asus are not able to fix that problem and they keep to sell that tablet pc with that bug..i don't know if i send the pc to assistance cuz i think is a waste of time , but today i have called the assistance and they told me they can fix it but i don't belive to em .. i have read that they format the pc and don't test if the bug is fixed , just send back the pc with the same problem..plz help me =(

    Maybe it's a driver issue. Did you download the newest drivers from the ASUS website?

    yeah , i have installed the new bios but nothig .. is a problem of every model of r1f and r1e..asus sells this pc with that problem..

    Install the latest/newest drivers from ASUS. Updating the BIOS most likely will not help nor hurt it...I think.

    already did .. new bios new driver .. put low the brightness but nothing..the problem is , if asus keeps to release a bugged pc , they are able to fix it ?

    This looks like a problem caused by a hidden window of some ASUS applications; upper-left corner suggests the ATK OSD utility (the one that paints the icons for the volume up.down etc). Trouble: I think in WinXP it's packaged with the ATK Hotkey, so removing ATK OSD also disables hotkey functionality. In Vista, they are two different utilities.

    I would try to reduce running ASUS applications to a bare minimum and see if the problem goes away. If so, then I would re-enable useful applications one by one, and check for the problem every time. This way you should isolate the culprit. If it's not an essential utility, just keep it off and the problem is solved. Otherwise try updating/downgrading etc.
