Does anyone know how long Asus gives warranty for the laptop battery, I can't find any info about it on their homepage.

I'm pretty sure it's one year on the battery. You could always give them call or send an e-mail.

It could also match your warranty on your purchase as well. It is best to call to clarify your warranty with whom you purchased from.

In North America the warranty is typically six months (for Eee) or one year (for most other notebooks). The B-series models with Sonata batteries have 3 year battery warranties. The battery warranty length is sometimes listed on the asus.com product page. They call it the 'battery pack warranty' if you want to find it through a google search - for example: ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS U36JC

    Thanks for the replies.
Yes its 1 year warranty for the battery and I contacted them and now have to wait and see what they will say it has to be done.
It suddenly began discharging faster than usual, and it charges in a normal way as it used to.

If you get them to give you a new battery, try reading some battery usage tips - there are many nice ones in google and some of them are very handy.. Your battery will last longer
