    After 3 months of repairs, they have given up and are replacing my AT6C.

    However I am woorried about the graphics performance of the new laptop, as the graphics chip doesnt seem to haver "proper" dedicated memory.

    My old chip was;
    Video

    Graphics Processor / Vendor: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 TurboCache supporting 256MB

    Video Memory: 128 MB

    My new chip is;

    ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 2400

    Total available graphics memory
    895 MB

    Dedicated graphics memory
    128 MB

    Dedicated system memory
    0 MB

    Shared system memory
    767 MB

    Is the new one better or worse because lack of on-chip memory?
    Is this a stupid question?

    thanks!

    it has dedicated vram (128mb), the shared ram does nothing.
    it should be about twice as fast as go 7300 i think, but it is one of the slowest chips on the market.
