I've had this pc for almost a year now and I'm very happy. I have ti i7 version with the sandisk 128GB ssd. I don't remember if it came with alot of crapware installed, I only have the asus live update now that I know of, but I'm thinking about a reformat. Is it just to get a "pirate" w8 and use the serial nr wich is supposed to be in the bios or the charger?

The only problems I've had is that the touchpad is a bit worn out in the middle, and I have to clean it to get it to be as responsive again. And wireless is slower than my 4 year old acer laptop. And wish I could change the ssd to the 256gb ADATA one, but guess that is impossible due to the connectors. I look forward to the new ux301 and ux302, maybe I will give this one to my father when that time comes.

Are you guys happy with this ultrabook?

    1. Discussion of pirated or illegal content is not really permitted on the forums.

    2. The key is not embedded in the charger. :) It's hard coded into the BIOS. Since you're asking about an illegitimate copy of Windows 8 though, I can't say whether it will see the key or not.

Hmm, wireless on this should be wireless N so it should not be slower.
