    Speedfan doesn't recognize many of Asus' notebook motherboards, so you can't use it to control fan speed. It does work as a temp monitoring tool, but it has a reputation of screwing up the ACPI controls so the BIOS can't control the fan speed properly. I'd advise to steer clear of it.
