Anyone with a X205ta can chime in?

    I just got it today.

    2 things that irk me.

    1) The touchpad doesn't feel solid. So when I tap it, there's a slight rattle. A bit annoying.
    2) The biggest problem. There is a noticeable lag and the scrolling is choppy when scrolling through Internet Explorer. The scroll will lag for a split/half second and it's choppy/laggy. Not smooth at all.

Is it supposed to be like this?

Even my T100 Transformer book had silky smooth scrolling.

Make sure your drivers are up to date and everything is updated. I had one of these around black friday and I remember the scrolling was ok. The trackpad... yup... just poor build quality. I think mine was a little "off" too.

Keep in mind that this is no powerhouse, things will be a little laggy at times. I don't think it will ever be smooth, but it should be acceptable.

Just bought mine yesterday at Staples. The salesman backed it up for me and also sold me a "Guaranteed No Virus" program for 1 year. Once I get going with it I will post how I like it and if I have any problems. I have a DELL desktop and am having a Router put in tomorrow.

If it has a "rattle" in the touchpad I would exchange it, it shouldn't be like that.

I didn't find it laggy, but I use Chrome and it works great.

I also wouldn't buy an anti-virus program from Staples or anywhere else, because it's guaranteed to bog down your little laptop. Get bit defender free edition is all you need. Lightweight and reliable and free.

Also consider installing adguard extension for Chrome to eliminate all the ads.
