    Hi everyone,

I need a laptop for the start of September, and after much research and forum lurking, I have decided on either the Asus w3v and Fujitsu 7020. I wanted to get the new s6240, but I'm in Canada and I can't wait till the end of August.

Pricewise, I can get the w3v and 7020 for about $2170 and $2130 Cdn respectively, so price isn't the issue. I know a lot about the w3v (great specs and design, somewhat weak speakers, right palm heats up a bit), but not too much about the 7020. I have yet to see a fujitsu vs. asus comparison, so I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight between the two.

(I posted this under the Fujitsu forum as well.)

If you can wait a few more weeks, the s6240 looks pretty promising.

Also, the two are quite different, the w3c has a dedicated GPU while the Fujitsu does not.

Yeah, I think it comes down to GPU vs weight vs screen. The Fujitsu is lighter and has a better display, but the GPU is weak and it's not widescreen. Both are built well though I'd give the support edge to Fujitsu.
