I have an Asus V1SB1-T7700. i have some questions and i don't know where should i ask.
    1) is the battery wear problem solved? i'm looking forward to buying a modular battery but i don't want to risk the life of the main since it's already been a year and thus not in warranty.Does anyone knows the correct battery codes? i purchased it in the usa and i'm in greece so it's crucial to get the right one because i can't rma it.
2)what about instant fun? is there a way to make it work without booting windows? i know it works that way in other laptops.
3)can i put asus express gate on it? is there a way to make it work?
    4) i'd look to have some leather parts maybe from the lamborghini vx1/vx2 added. where can i find them? is there any other place that can make leather parts for the V1S?
    5) is 18% battery wear normal for one year's daily usage?
    6) if i purchase an intel T9300 to replace the t7700 would i see any difference somewhere ? would it be cooler? will the bios recognise it?
    thnx in advance...

It is unclear whether the problem has been solved. I think I remember one person reporting success but I am not sure about it; the success depends on getting a battery from a newer batch, which you do not really have control of. I think in any case it is a dangerous bet to buy a modular battery.

    Maybe this helps:

    I don't know.

I don't know but why not use a live CD or live USB key with a more complete version of Linux such as Knoppix, Slax, even Ubuntu?

Perhaps ASUS eStore or one of the resellers. eStore only ships to NorthAmerica though.

    I would say yes.

I wouldn't go through the trouble. I do not know whether the BIOS would recognize it, and you would be voiding the warranty (if it's 1 year+ old, you still have almost one year on the main hardware components).

You would not see a significant performance difference, but it may be somewhat cooler.

PS: Also, please don't cross-post. I have deleted your post in the V1 owner's lounge.
