Dear folks,
I've got an ASUS UX303ln (Intel Core i5-4210U) notebook with a 13.3" screen (1600x900, no touch). Now, after two years, the plastic part between the hinge and the lid is broken. It's a common problem with this model, many people on the internet are reporting it. However, I don't want to throw away a notebook I'm actually very satisfied with just because of this broken part.
I now want to replace the complete lid, and I'm wondering if I can replace my existing non-touch 1600x900 display with a new 1920x1080 touch screen display. The hinges, connections and everything seem to be the same.
Can I expect that it's compatible? Thanks!

That doesn't really works as simple. If the laptop doesn't support the FullHD screen then it won't work. So you will have to do your research before you buy it.

Touchscreen is a different matter; check where the touchscreen cable ends up in a touch version of an identical Asus model. It's rather unlikely the current lcd cable can support the touchscreen as well; this is a device separate from the lcd itself, requiring its own pins/wires. It is possible they've combined both lcd+touch cables into a single connector at the point where it's plugged into the motherboard. If that is so; match the number of mb pins to those of the 1080p/touch cable. Even then it is no guarantee it'll work; pins can be non-functioning on a 'stripped-down' model, so try to order the display assembly with a return option.
