Availability of the Sandy Bridge Asus U-series laptops have been kind of scarce. I'm from Canada and it's hard to get a hold of the new U36SD and U31SD, but what I'm actually interested in is the U31E (basically the U31SD minus dedicated graphics, I'm fine with HD3000 to save some $). I've tried to do a search here and found nothing, googled it and only found announcements back in April (U36SD, U31SD, and U31E announced together). Is this product even available for purchase anywhere in the world?

Thanks for any help, I apologize if this has been covered already on these forums and a link would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe they've actually released it yet. Oftentimes, they will announce models and it can take months before you actually see it hit the market. Good luck with the continued search!
