So I have been in the market for a new machine for a while. Back in December I was going to pull the trigger on the U36, but was given the advice to hold off for Sandy Bridge.

Then..well we all no what happened with Sandy Bridge

Now I'm needing a new system and the 13" mac-book pro and air have both caught my eye, but I'm a Windows boy still

If been watching this board like a hawk waiting gor news from that Asus-aficionados on this board to post the glorious news when we can see some SB U-series entries, so far only a few scarce links, dates, rumors
What the typical Asus announcement schedule? will there not be any big announcements until the next conference/convention (i forget which one is coming up next)

    Thanks for reading

    Thanks

I to wanted the U36 Sandy Bridge, but have not seen anything on the sales site nor good rumors as to when. Fed up and purchased a Lenovo T420 Sandy Bridge instead. Goodness, even Sony has one out already.

Good luck waiting for the day it is released.... :spinny:

Yes it sometimes can take a few months for ASUS to actually ship a machine that they've announced. I haven't seen any availability estimate on the U36SD.
