    I found this Asus ROG G501JW (brand new) that comes with freebies:

    Someone here who owns such machine? Does it really overheat and throttles?

    It seems Asus just lowered the prices on the decked out G501 to $1699.99 4k model and decked out UX501 to $1499.99 for the 4k touch model.

    $1300 sounds like a pretty good deal. I'd call to question having a 1TB HDD instead of the super fast M2 pcie SSD as that would be several magnitudes faster. I'm not sure if the FHD model has the M2 connector inside even if it doesn't come with one. Also the 4 cell 60Whr battery will not last you very long. That may or may not be a concern depending how often you want to be mobile and how often you'll be plugged in.
