    Hi all,

I am getting a G73JW-A1 and if I don't install the Asus Power4Gear, will the Intel TurboBoost not work at all? And I will just be running at the base speed the whole time?

Turbo boost will work perfectly without Power for Gear. Twin Turbo will not however.

Okay, got it. Is the general consensus that the Twin Turbo mode is good to have on when gaming?

It can't hurt. However, I like Power4gear more for the power saving features it offers in power saving mode, like an easy check box to turn off the dvd drive and webcam. And you can use a slider to set maximum processor state or set the screen brightness. Not that this machine was ever meant to save power, but it's really useful if you find yourself needing more than an hour and a half of battery one day. But leave it uninstalled if you must.

Is it easy to create different power templates? I want to make a semi energy saving one for plane rides.
