    Hello,

My Asus N73SV-V1G-TZ416V, Windows 7 x64 sometimes (not always) hangs when going to sleep.
The screen shuts down, but it's not going to sleep mode, sometimes I can "wake it up" back on, sometimes I even can't do that and I just have to do a hard shut down.

If I do Shut down, there is no hanging application which requires my input (to save or not to save) or something like that, it shuts down smoothly.
Usually if I just rebooted it, it will go to sleep without a problem, but usually I don't reboot for days-weeks, so it's a problem for me.

I didn't notice any specific application that causes it, however is there a tool that will track down what's blocking the sleep? or any other reason?

Well, you could always try disabling some startup items from msconfig, or stopping some non-essential services. Heck, this could just help improve boot time regardless :p

well, my boot time is couple of seconds because of my SSD drive and I'm controlling everything that happens in my PC, so everything that boots has a meaning :)

However, I cannot just start removing random stuff, because sometimes it goes to sleep anyway, so I won't know if it goes to sleep because of the removed start up app or just because it's one of the times when it does work. also there are too much apps at start up to just randomly disable them!

    Anything more specific perhaps?
As I asked, is there a tool for this?
