    Asus N61JV Nvidia issue

    Hello,

    Few days ago, i bought the Asus n61jv with the following specs:

    -Core i5
    -Nvidia Gt 325M 1GB
    -4GB Ram

    Before I bought it, i thought I´d be able to play GTA IV, as here, in the forums they told me, i would be able to run GTA IV on medium graphics. But when I ran GTA IV, it went extremely low... It seems to be an Optimus Nvidia issue, that is having some problems, with the intel card the computer´s got in.

    You can try the latest Nvidia 260.99 driver update and see if it helps. When installing the Nvidia driver use the clean install option the installer will offer.

    I would also update the Intel chipset graphics driver to version 8.15.10.2246.

    My son also has the N61JV and we recently did these updates to his laptop. We did the Intel driver update first but I am not sure that it makes any difference which drivers are installed first. Made some slight improvment to the StarCraft II game that my son plays.

    I'm not sure if this will help with your GTA IV problem, but you will have the latest chipset and GPU drivers installed on your new N61JV.

    anyone had this problem, with the optimus card??

    It´s quite disapointing from nvidia, to come up with this errors

    Did you update to the newest Nvidia 260.99 drivers?

    Many people have issues with the PC version of GTA IV so you are not alone in that respect.

    hi guys. i got the latest nvidia 260.99 drivers. but i still got problems with splinter cell conv. , pes 2011 and cod black ops. when i run the pes 2011, a black screen showing up with the sound. when i hit the windows key at keyboard. it is workin properly but only at window mode. i am really goin mad with this optimus stuff. also i got usb mouse problem. when i restart the notebook usb mouse is not workin. when i plug in again, its workin . all my drivers are up to date. i got win 7 64 bit on asus 61jv . (P.S sorry for the grammer mistakes.)
