Is there any way to have it control winamp 5 instead of WMP? I know its possible because logitech's keyboards can do it for multiple programs. Is anyone here fluent enough to rewrite the driver to control winamp instead? I wanna use the buttons but I HATE WMP for audio.

Use the RM-X General Purpose Control plugin for Winamp. It is a bit confusing to configure but you do not need to rewrite the drivers ! It works well on my A2D for the function keys (play, stop...) but the launch button still opens WMP.

whats strange is you can control (and even start) WMP10 with the audio dj keys and also if you have power dvd running instead of WMP the keys will control power DVD. when i only have winamp running nothing happens. how does windows know what to tell the programs? im pretty sure theres a registry key for this somewhere

EDIT: played with the keys just now, if you hit PLAY when nothing is open, power DVD will pop up complaining thers no dvd in the drive
if you hit the power switch for audio dj WMP10 comes up.. hmmm
