Hi all... Just bought the K52F 1DSX that has Altec Lansing Speakers. I am a disc jockey from way back and KNOW how awesome and powerful these speakers should be, even on a laptop. The sound quality and out put are barely there even maxed out. I tried playing with the sound mix with no results. Does anyone know how to get the true sound out of them or are they really as lame as the seem? : [

The speakers in most laptops are not going to be great. They are tiny and cannot reproduce anything but high mids.

Most of the branded speakers you see on laptops are just small software or EQ tweaks to generic speakers.
