Yes, I know this is primarily an ASUS forum, but I want to pose a gaming question.

I have a GW FX6801-01 Quadcore 8GB with a nvidia 120 1GB card. As a gaming system, would the Asus G71 provide a better gaming experience when plugged in to a 23" monitor?

I am looking to only have 1 gaming machine and from what I have been told, the Asus would be a better machine all around. Plug in to the monitor when I am home and unplug when I am on the road...

Or is the GW Desktop better for gaming?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

Sorry, the subject should read Asus G71, NOT Asus G712. Thanks.

Yes Asus G71 has a 9800m Gs (or was it a GT). the Asus G71GX has GTX 260m. Both of these graphic cards are way better than the 120m.

While Asus is great you may also want to check out MSI they also give you a great bang for your buck in a more simple but elegant style.
