    Hey all, another problem here.
Last night, the laptop was under heavy use, I had it on battery saving mode, and I dont think the fans turned on. I was using my laptop this morning and after a while, it froze up, and I had to do a hard reboot. Now it hangs at the Vista startup with the "Loading" screen. I tried it in safe mode and it just locks up. I dont know if the temperatures might have caused anything, since the laptop was hot but I didnt have the temperatures at the time. Anything I can try? I am at a friends house right now, so all of my Cd's are at home.

ummm hit f8 (I think) to go into alternate boot options and try safe mode. See if you can get it to boot up like that and then you could just do a system restore. You won't lose anything so it might be worth the experiment if you're not going home for a while.

My problem was a corrupted hard drive / system files. I just used the recovery disk, since I was allowed once to boot up in safe mode and get most of my files off. Now I just did a clean install of Vista and re-installed all my programs.
