I'm wondering if this notebook has a metal or plastic exterior finish to it. I know some of Asus' lines of notebooks have this wonderful metal exterior.

The F3 series is all plastic. So I am assuming the F3SV will be as well..?

Yep. For 15.4 " carbon fiber / magnesium alloy / brushed aluminum, you need to look at the V1 / V2, possibly VX series.

    As mentioned, its ABS plastic.

The only ones with material that isn't plastic is the U-series, W-series(W7 debatable as its half and half, W3 EoL, W2 and W1 is pretty much 80% brushed aluminum), and the V-series.
