Normally you get a Asus recovery CD to recover your notebook.

How do I recover my netbook since it has no CD drive?

Ive heard you can use external CDROM and the recovery CD OR
press F9 or something. Is there a hidden partition where the "recovery disk" is and which it boots from?

Note: I have the Asus Netbook EEE 1001 version. Windows XP.

i dont have an Eee but depending on the BIOS you can set the boot priority to USB as the first and recover using a USB drive loaded with windows xp

this is, of course, granted you can put a copy on a drive

since you have the key to xp on the bottom of your system(assumption) you could DL a copy from a torrent to do just that

Thanks for the reply. Maybe someone else has a different answer?
What is the quickest and easiest way to do it, to recover my Netbook?

Rapidly press f9 the moment you boot your computer. It will run the hidden partition and recovers within 10-15 minutes to it's factory state.
At least this was how it was done on the 1000he
