    Evening guys,

    I'm new to these forums so please forgive me if I've posted this thread in the wrong place, but my issue's quite urgent;

    Today my mousepad/touchpad just stopped functioning. It wouldn't even move or allow me to click. It was simply fixed in a central position on the screen. I can't remember if I had pressed anything, but I've turned my laptop on and off. So, if anyone has knowledge of this issue for a ASUS E6176, please share it now as this is starting to bug me...

    Cheers in advance,

    Llew :)

    i've never heard of that model, but i on my asus i think the shortcut for touchpad is Fn+F9? not sure, but play around with those function keys, or you might have a specific button for touchpad? i had that on my old old A3N

    IF Fn F9 does not solve it, Do you now or have you had an external (USB) mouse connected? Also check control panel - mouse - device settings for anything abnormal.
    Other idea, remove any pointing device software and install the version that came with your machine. (Synaptics ???)
