Lets say if I'm using my laptop with the adapter plugged in, unplug it, and re-plug it in...my screen keeps going in and out. It forces me to reboot it because it doesn't stop going and out.

How do I fix this problem? It just started to do this recently...could it be that I'm using "Power 4 Gear"?

It sounds like buggy power management. I would update/reinstall the ACPI (ATK) drivers, and also remove any power management apps for the time being, like Power4Gear, NHC, RMClock.
