I checked the "Asus Information Booth" sticky thread and tried to browse the btotech.com site for a guide, but couldn't find anything. I read on the btotech forums that ASUS has disassembly guides, so I contacted ASUS to see if they would send it to me. The customer rep I got was a douche and said "Those guides are not made available to consumers." Does anyone have a link to an A8 series disassembly guide?

It took a while, but google really is amazing. lol. I found a blog that posted the official Asus a8j disassembly guide (and it's probably the same one that gay customer rep didnt want to send to me).

    Here is the link

Just ctrl + f "A8J Disassembly Guide" and click on it and you'll be able to download it if you need it.

I found that guide a few months ago for when I broke the screen(DoH!) in my A8Jp. Asus wanted to charge me more than $500!! They said Id voided my warranty so I decided to just replace the screen myself and save $300.

The guide was helpful, but it was not exact in my case. My laptop had a few extra screws here and there and a cable that I believe is for the camera that was way off from where the guide showed.

milestonepc is no longer in business. Perhaps other resellers may have access to this information?
