    Hi,
i own an Asus notebook with a Radeon Ati Mobility X700 graphic card built in.
Since i bought a new LCD TV which features HD i want to connect my NB to it. Unfortunately my laptop has no dvi output and the LCD doesnt feature VGA input. Then i found this adapter http://shop.ati.com/product.asp?sku=2550138
. But when i connect this adapter to my TV, it doesnt recognize that its a HDTV and i get only a black and white composite picture ( alltough its connected to the YpbPr input). I found the original x700 manual here http://www2.ati.com/manuals/RadeonX700PCISeries.pdf
, it clearly states that HD is supported. They mention a "YpbPr" tab in the display settings which doesnt exist on my system.
So my question is: has anybody had the same problem and sucessfully solved it?
Ive found other people with the same problem but only a solution for nvidia cards.(There you could tell the graphic card manually to switch to YPbPr output, but theres no such option for the X700)
